Gene Slay's Boys' Club of St. Louis

For 85 years, Gene Slay's Boys' Club of St. Louis has empowered youth with quality, holistic programs that provide them with the tools to escape cycles of poverty. The mission of Gene Slay's Boys' Club of St. Louis is to enable boys in the St. Louis metropolitan area, especially those who who need the Club most, to realize their physical, intellectual, and emotional potential. Gene Slay's Boys' Club of St. Louis works to prepare the next generation of young men to lead the community. Many of Gene Slay's Boys' Club's alumni have and continue to impact the St. Louis metropolitan area as leaders in the business community, elected officials, judges, medical professionals, police officers and fire fighters, professional athletes, and philanthropists.

The St. Louis Area Foodbank

The St. Louis Area Foodbank began its service to the community in 1975. Since that time, they've grown to become the Bi-State region's largest non-profit 501 food distribution center dedicated to feeding those in need. Today, they continue to be an organization that relies on the generosity of others to make a difference in the lives of those in need of food assistance. The St. Louis Area Foodbank's mission is to feed hungry people by distributing food through partner agencies and educate the public about the nature of, and solutions to, the problems of hunger. Many Mungenast Lexus of St. Louis employees have pledged a portion of each paycheck to benefit the St. Louis Area Foodbank.

Friends of Kids with Cancer

Friends of Kids with Cancer was founded in 1992 by Jill Turec, a Developmental Specialist, along with Molly Henry and Suzie Snowden, who were parents of children in treatment who witnessed their kids' struggles and saw the need for diversions in their lives. Friends of Kids with Cancer is devoted to enriching the daily lives of children undergoing treatment for, and survivors of, cancer and blood-related diseases. Their mission is to be an advocate for those special kids and provide them and their families with the educational, emotional, and recreational support needed as a result of the long hours of chemotherapy, illness, and isolation. All proceeds from Mungenast Automotive Family's MOTOR MANIA went directly to Friends of Kids with Cancer; many of our other events benefit this organization as well.

Easter Seals

Easter Seals has been helping individuals with disabilities and special needs and their families live better lives for nearly 100 years. From child development centers to physical rehabilitation and job training for people with disabilities, Easter Seals offers a variety of services to help people with disabilities address life's challenges and achieve personal goals. Mungenast Lexus of St. Louis supports Easter Seals through an annual golf tournament.

Kilo Diabetes and Vascular Research Foundation

In 1972, St. Louis physician researchers, Drs. Charles Kilo and Joseph R. Williamson, founded the Kilo Diabetes & Vascular Research Foundation in order to fund dedicated and ongoing research on diabetes and related vascular diseases through private sources. The goals of the Kilo Diabetes and Vascular Research Foundation are focused on finding a cure for diabetes and on educating the medical professionals who treat the disease. Mungenast Lexus of St. Louis supports the Kilo Diabetes and Vascular Research Foundation through an annual golf tournament.

Make-A-Wish Foundation

Every 38 minutes, Make-A-Wish grants the wish of a child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition in the United States and its territories. Make-A-Wish believes that a wish experience can be a game-changer. This one belief guides them in everything they do; it inspires them to grant wishes that change the lives of the kids they serve. Mungenast Lexus of St. Louis supports the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Missouri through an annual golf tournament.

KlaasKids Foundation

The KlaasKids Foundation was established in 1994 to give meaning to the death of twelve-year-old kidnap an murder victim Polly Hannah Klaas and to create a legacy in her name that would be protective of children for generations to come. The Foundation's mission is to stop crimes against children. The Mungenast Automotive Family is honored to be the KlaasKids Foundation's oldest and most loyal sponsor; we have been hosting the KlaasKids's signature child safety event, the Print-A-Thon, since 1996. This high-energy child safety event uses state-of-the-art technology to fingerprint and photograph children and provides parents with DNA collection kits, pro-active child safety information, and a nine-point plan on what to do if their child disappears.
